Oz Wednesday – Sydney

Each week I’m holding my new feature – Oz Wednesday (some might notice it’s a take on the title of a particular fruit named phone company and their 241 deal at the cinemas!).

Every month will change to a different city in Australia (some of which I haven’t visited, but I’ll work my way round that!), and for 3 weeks of each month I’ll choose my favourite parts of the city, and try my best to sell it to any backpacker/tourist that happens to pass through!

Bluesfest – Day Five

You may be wondering why I have failed to mention any of the night life in the campsite area at Bluesfest. I personally think you can’t really attend a festival and experience the full festival atmosphere without doing the whole campsite living for the entire event.

Bluesfest – Day Four

I didn’t have that many expectations for Day 4 to be honest. A few acts were ticked off the list to check out, but nothing got me overly excited as other days. However… it turned out to be one of the best days! I love it when that happens!

Bluesfest – Day Three

Day three began as normal, the van was parked nicely in amongst hundreds of other cars and vans, masses of festival goers armed with their fold away chairs and plenty of munch to keep them going throughout the day, were making their way through the gates having their bands checked by security, and of course the sniffer dogs were out on force again this morning.

Bluesfest – Day Two

Day 2 began not too well… mainly due to the lack of sleep I was getting. No sleep plus myself turns into a screaming moody mess!! Not a pretty sight for anyone to view I can tell you… but Bluesfest was still to be attended, so once a parking space was found for the van, we headed straight in to catch ALO on stage again.

Bluesfest – Day One

Day one was your average get-your-bearings-right kind of day. We had a number of acts lined up to check out but the show didn’t kick off till 4pm, so we had a good mingle around the festival arena to see what was what.
