Oz Wednesday – Melbourne

Each week I’m holding my new feature – Oz Wednesday (some might notice it’s a take on the title of a particular fruit named phone company and their 241 deal at the cinemas!).

Every month will change to a different city in Australia (some of which I haven’t visited, but I’ll work my way round that!), and for 3 weeks of each month I’ll choose my favourite parts of the city, and try my best to sell it to any backpacker/tourist that happens to pass through!

18/11 – “ This morning was free pancakes for breakfast!! They were lush, so thick and tasty!! Just like dad’s homemade, reminded me of home :). Linda joined me, Trace, Nadia and Jamie for our pancakes, and after the girls and Jamie left, me and Linda got chatting more. She was telling me how she was planning to go into the city to do a bit of touring, and asked if I’d like to join her. Seeing as I had no plans, I figured I’d jump at the chance!

31/10 – “Neighbours tour today!! Had a really early start this morning ughhh… 7am! Didn’t get much sleep at all last night! We managed to get ourselves ready and out of bed in time for catching the bus at 8am. Of course, typically the weather was crap! It was foggy and dull… perfect!! On our wee bus, the tour guide let us watch old episodes of Neighbours… oh my god… REALLY old!!  It was hilarious seeing them again! Even Libby and Drew’s wedding! How do I remember that?!! Made me chuckle!

Melbourne – Otherwise known as my first destination inside Australia! Melbourne makes a lot of appearances in my journal, purely down to the fact that it was handy to pass through for many of my trips, and the fact that I always seemed to end up in this place! Really nice city though, and plenty to say about it…
